Resources

The plant Adenium obesum also called as Desert Rose functions similar to a human nervous system. It doesn't do well when exposed to freezing environments. The plant prefers consistently warm temperatures.

It's a succulent and it stores its resources - water and nutrients in its trunk. The same way humans do secretly store those feel good memories like a patronus charm.

Just when the environment turns extremely dry and the plant feels it's about to die out of starvation, it taps into its inner resources and survives like a pro.

When you find yourself in a karmic situation that you can neither escape nor resolve, but all you can do is to just navigate it through your grounded presence, you will need enormous amounts of inner resources.

When life demands you to help out a loved one with deep rooted trauma, don't get pulled into the sandstorm of their drama.

Stay anchored in your inner resources.

A tour into the endocrine system

Thyroid, liver, ovaries functioning is so very much interlinked.

Thyroid hormones help the liver with fat metabolism.

Liver in turn converts inactive T4 to active T3. And also creates proteins that act like a boat to carry thyroid hormones through the blood to the target tissues.

Healthy thyroid supports healthy liver function and vice versa.

T3 and T4 help liver to produce SHBG which binds to estrogen, progesterone and testosterone.

Insulin inhibits SHBG production. So Insulin resistance has a direct impact on menstrual cycle.

Cortisol impacts SHBG production and also reduces binding affinity of SHBG. Thus chronic stress impacts menstrual cycle.

LDL cholesterol is converted to Progesterone. Thus Hypothyroidism affects metabolism and uterus lining required within menstrual cycle.

Cortisol can act as a competitive antagonist of progesterone, meaning it can bind to the same receptors as progesterone and block its effects.

High cortisol

- Increases androgens (hirtuism)

- Reduces estrogen and progesterone (menstrual cycle issues, which also affects health of skin, bones and blood vessels)

- Inhibits SHBG production

- Reduces binding affinity of SHBG.

- Binds to progesterone receptors and blocks progesterone effects on the body. (Fertility issues)

- Leads to insulin resistance (Type 2 diabetes)

- increased insulin in turn inhibits SHBG causing a vicious loop

- causes increase in amount of fat stored in liver cells leading to NAFLD/MASLD

Effective ways to adress chronic stress:

- Diaphragmatic breathing (directly lowers cortisol level)

- somatic work - BCST, SE, Dance for safe embodiment

- music (Tones vagus nerve)

- Breathwork

Romancing with remedies

Most great stories introduce the protagonist first. Some introduce the antagonist first to add more spice. It's very rare to begin a story with the protagonist's mentor.

Fascia & Relational touch

Fascia gives structure to the body. It creates boundaries between different organs, muscles, blood vessels,.... Its fluidity, free nerve endings, the way it connects every single structure into a sense of wholeness and the way it stretches even beyond the body and connects us all together, it holds us together in the real sense.

It creates a soft, smooth surface for organs to glide over each other without causing friction. It generously sacrifices its fluid nature to contain traumatic imprints so that our survival is taken care of.

When you love your fascia well by staying hydrated and doing gentle movements, and restoring its true healthy nature, it will bless you beyond your wildest imaginations.

We almost always attribute the quality of intelligence to the brain. But fascia is that silent, introverted intelligent part of us who doesn't care about performance or validation and is focused on problem solving all the time.

Confluence of 5 elements - Fascia is a magical land of earthy tissues. Healing and nourishing fluids flow through it in ways that can't meet our eyes. Fiery sparks of the nerves showcase their fireworks on its surface. The invisible air breathes itself through the fascia. While the silent ether feels proud of itself for holding space for this true miracle called fascia.

Can we appreciate fascia with a relational touch? The fascia asks for nothing in return for all the hard core work it does all the time. Can we all offer safety as a reward that fascia truly deserves?

Buckle up your seat belt for this wonderful ride into the land of fascia.

Relational Field

Relational field?

I've heard of paddy fields and maize fields. What's a relational field?  Do we sow seeds of relationship, grow them and harvest the crops?

It's similar in a way. Relational field helps us remember the deep-rooted blueprint of health inherent in each one of us. Life experiences may have allowed weeds of pain and suffering to grow out of control. But this relational field prunes these weeds and dissolves them completely. Regardless of how deep health has hidden itself, this field brings it to the surface and empowers life to flow forward.

Curious to know what's so magical about this relational field?

Stay tuned...
